<!--StartFragment--> CALL FOR PAPERS EVANGELICAL THEOLOGICAL SOCIETY 61st Annual Meeting New Orleans,Louisiana November 18-20,2009 Theme: Personal and Social Ethics <!--EndFragment--> All full members of the Society as well as student members enrolled in PhD or ThD programs are hereby invited to submit proposals for papers to be read on this year’s conference theme. Papers are especially welcome from ethicists, but scholars engaged in biblical, theological, and other disciplines are also encouraged to share their research, particularly as it bears on the general theme of ethics. Other papers unrelated to the theme are welcome as well. In light of the great number of submissions in recent years, the deadline for receiving proposals this year is February 15, a date that will be strictly adhered to. Please submit in the form of a title and a 100-200 word abstract in order that a fair assessment may be made of the paper’s suitability for inclusion in the program. Papers should not exceed 3000 words in order to fit the available time slots and allow for discussion. Check the ETS website list of study groups and submit your paper proposal electronically to the chair of the group most appropriate to your topic. All submissions that fall outside one of the set categories should be sent to Eugene H. Merrill, ETS Program Chair, emerrill@dts.edu. Any sent by US mail will not be returned. Communicate your need for audio visual equipment to the group chair to whom you submit your proposal. No video projectors will be provided. Finally, group chairs and the Program Chair will select the best proposals submitted for scheduling into the times and space we have available. Consideration will be given to presenters who have special scheduling difficulties but there can be no guarantee that such requests will be granted. Sincerely,
Eugene H. Merrill
