NEAS Seeks a Journal Editor

The Near East Archaeological Society is seeking an editor for their Near East Archaeological Society Bulletin, a refereed journal, ISSN 0739-0068.

The NEAS Bulletin is currently published once a year. Volume 60, released for 2015, contained 62 pages which included three articles, six book reviews, and a 12 page listing of pertinent archaeological articles published from various journals during 2014-15. The 8 ½” by 11” journal is typeset and bound with a glossy blue cover.

Editor qualifications include a Ph.D. or other graduate degree in archaeology, biblical, theological, or historical studies, familiarity with the field of archaeology, and solid experience in scholarly authorship. Qualified membership in NEAS would need to be maintained. Prior editorial experience is preferred, along with good communication and financial management skills, and organizational ability.

The Editor would oversee the publication of the NEAS Bulletin including article and book review selection, typesetting, and mailing. A small stipend may be included.
