Cornerstone University, an Evangelical Christian institution with over 2800 undergraduate and graduate students, is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Professor of Historical & Systematic Theology at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. The position is classified as a full-time tenure-track faculty position with faculty rank and base salary dependent upon educational and professional qualifications and experience. In partnership with other faculty colleagues, the position supports the theology curriculum of the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Christian Formation, Master of Arts in Counseling, and other Master of Arts degree programs which combine to enroll over 340 graduate students on an annual basis, both on-ground and online.
Candidates will possess a completed Ph.D. or Th.D. in Systematic Theology or Historical Theology from a properly accredited institution (e.g. regional, Association of Theological School, etc.) by fall 2017, evidence of proficiency in theological scholarship and graduate level teaching, be a team player with honorable relational skills, and exhibit a genuine Christian faith commitment and theological alignment with the Cornerstone Confession.
The successful candidate will serve as Professor of Historical & Systematic Theology at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (a graduate division of the University). This includes teaching six graduate level courses (on-ground and online) on an annual basis, serving student advisees, contributing to assessment projects within the division, attending divisional and full-faculty meetings, and serving on at least two committees.
