Moody Bible Institute—Spokane, WA campus

The Bible/Theology Division of Moody Bible Institute seeks a junior or senior faculty member for its Spokane, WA campus beginning July 2017 (subject to budgetary approval). Candidates should demonstrate an expertise in theology, competency in philosophy, ongoing research interests, and a heart for mentoring students. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the undergraduate theology core; the successful candidate should be able to teach Systematic Theology, a theology capstone course (Apologetics), and Introduction to Philosophy. The teaching load is 12 hours each fall/spring. Additional opportunities exist to teach in January and/or June terms and summer courses overseas through the Study Abroad program. Preference will be given to applicants with college-level teaching experience, with the minimum academic credential of an MA in Systematic Theology (or related field), and with a track record of advising and mentoring students of ethnic and cultural diversity. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
Successful candidates will demonstrate transformational teaching and proficiency in helping students understand the ground of Christian doctrine in Scripture. Moody faculty are expected to show a collegial spirit, a concern for the spiritual formation of students and mentoring, and a desire to prepare students for ministry.
