Full-time Assistant Professor of Old Testament Wesley Biblical Seminary is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Old Testament beginning in the 2016-2017 academic year. The person hired will be expected to teach both on campus and online for a total of up to twenty-one semester hours per year (fall, spring, and summer terms). He or she will also be expected to mentor students, serve on faculty committees, participate in campus activities such as chapel services, and perform other professional duties. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Old Testament and possess a good knowledge of Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. Previous on-campus and online teaching experience in a variety of contexts preferred. In evaluating potential candidates, the seminary will also consider professional papers, scholarly articles, book reviews, and any other publications that the candidate has presented or authored. The person hired must sign the seminary’s statement of faith without reservation and must wholeheartedly embrace the seminary’s mission statement.
