The Analytic Theology Consultation aims to help the cross-fertilization of ideas, research and methods between theology and analytic philosophy of religion.
Sample areas of research include:
- employing recent work in analytic metaphysics to explicate central Christian doctrines like the Incarnation, the Trinity and original sin;
- applying new research in analytic epistemology and philosophy of language to enrich our understanding of Christian doctrines about the nature and implications of Biblical inspiration, interpretation and authority.
The Analytic Theology Consultation also hopes to stimulate an interest for interdisciplinary activity among scholars in analytic philosophy of religion and
theologians in historical, systematic and biblical theology.
