Student Scholarship FAQs

What are eligible degrees for the program?

  • M.Div.
  • M.A.
  • M.Phil.
  • Th.M.
  • S.T.M.
  • Ph.D./Th.D.

Why is the program limited by driving distance?

The distance restrictions allows us to ensure that the travel costs can be completely covered under the program. As the Annual Meeting moves to different cities, we'll be able, over time, to have recipients from all of our regions.

I'm a student, can I nominate myself?

No. Self-nominations will not be taken for this program. Additionally, nominations must be made by a full or associate member.

Where can I find an application for the scholarship?

Once a student has been nominated and the nomination eligibility has been confirmed, the nominee will receive the application materials by email from the Society office.

Does the nominee need to be an ETS member?

No, the nominee does not need to be a current ETS member. The nominee does, however, need to be eligible for ETS student membership. If the nominee is not an ETS member, he or she will apply for membership as a part of the scholarship application process.
