Job Description
Western Seminary is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of New Testament Language and Literature. The successful candidate will be a member of the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies (CBTS) and will be located at the Seminary’s Portland campus. 

The primary duties will be to teach New Testament, Greek, and other core, master’s level courses and electives, and to teach seminars and supervise theses in the Th.M. program. The individual will participate actively in the department (CBTS) and the Seminary community at large. This will include such responsibilities as mentoring students, engaging in research and scholarship, and serving on faculty committees.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
-Completed Ph.D. in New Testament (ABD candidates considered)
-Experience and skill teaching both in the classroom and online, as well as evidence of scholarly contributions, student mentorship, and irenic collegial interaction
-Mature and growing Christian faith, agreement with Western Seminary’s Faculty Teaching (https://www.westernseminary.edu/catalog/environment/teaching-postion) Position, and involvement in and commitment to the local church
