Lincoln Christian University (LCU) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time (rank open) faculty member in Ministry, effective August 1, 2021. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in LCU’s undergraduate division. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in preaching, church administration, pastoral care, and ministerial ethics. The applicant will be expected to teach online as well as on campus. The applicant must be an energetic, enthusiastic teacher who can attract and retain students and provide students with relevant instruction for leading today’s
church.

Qualifications:

  • terminal degree (masters degree may receive consideration) in directly related field
    preferred
  • demonstrated achievement or potential in classroom teaching and of scholarly
    contribution
  • experience in or willingness to train for online instruction
  • evidenced collegiality and collaboration with others
  • balanced commitment to the Church, to Christian higher education, and to the broader
    academy
  • experience in vocational ministry and working with multiple staff is essential

Given the nature of the position, preferential consideration will be given to members of the
Independent Christian Churches or Churches of Christ. Applicants should be prepared to
respond to the University’s mission, statement of faith, core values, and philosophy of education
