Job Description Accountability: Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty, Dr. Josh Mathews Proposed Start Date: August 1, 2021 Position Summary: Western Seminary is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in Biblical Studies. The successful candidate will be a member of Western’s Center for Biblical and Theological Studies (CBTS) and will be located at the Seminary’s Portland campus. Responsibilities: The primary duties will be to teach New and Old Testament classes, and other core, master’s level courses, and electives, and to teach seminars and supervise theses in the ThM program. The individual will participate actively in the department (CBTS) and the Seminary community at large. This will include such responsibilities as mentoring students, engaging in research and scholarship, and serving on faculty committees.
