Description:

Description
Martin Luther believed that through Adam’s fall, humanity lost the image of God, which is restored only through justification by faith. That doctrine would, therefore, imply that non-Christians do not have the image of God in them. This paper analyses Luther’s argument and proposes a mediating position: all humans retain the divine image, but only justification can restore the divine likeness.
