Getting Ready to Submit Your Proposal

Please read the following carefully to make sure you're ready to submit your proposal.


   Prepare your proposal information offline

  • Proposals may not be edited after entry.
  • Compose your title and abstract offline. Be sure to edit the title carefully as this entry will be used for the program if you proposal is accepted.
  • Copy and paste your edited title and abstract information into the proposal system.


   Proposal Limits

  • Members should submit no more than 2 proposals.
  • Each proposal may be submitted to one open section session or one discipline specific session.


   Special Instructions for Co-Authored Proposals

  • Each author must be an eligible ETS presenter (current ETS full member or current ETS student member enrolled in a PhD program)
  • Each author must submit a separate proposal.
  • In the first line of the abstract box, please indicate that this is a joint proposal and give the full name of the other authors.


   The Proposal Notification Timeline

  • Proposals submitted to program unit sessions will be notified by May 15 if your proposal has been accepted, declined, or moved for consideration in a general session.
  • Proposals submitted to general and theme sessions will be notified by June 1 if your proposal has been accepted, declined, or held for potential inclusion if cancellations occur.


   Click the Submit Paper Proposal link in the Annual Meeting Proposal System menu at left to begin the proposal process. (This will be available March 1.)
