Teaching in a new M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy) in Biblical Studies: New Testament. The M.Phil. in Biblical Studies is a two-year degree (one year class work and one year thesis) designed to prepare teachers of Biblical Studies for positions in universities, seminaries and educational institutions in Pakistan or abroad. It also will serve to prepare students to enter into Ph.D. programs in Biblical Studies. Students in the M.Phil. program will specialize in one of two tracks, Old Testament Theology or New Testament Theology. Students will enter the program already competent in either New Testament Greek or Old Testament Hebrew, enabling them to study the Bible in its original languages. In addition, through an emphasis on critical thinking skills and the principles of sound biblical exegesis, students will gain skills in applying the biblical theological themes within the Bible to the present day needs of the Christian Community within Pakistan, which numbers between four and ten million people. This is the only such program in all of Pakistan and seeks to produce a new generation of Bible teachers.

Forman Christian College University is a prestigious educational institution in Pakistan, unique in the fact that it is still owned by the Church, even though over 6000 Muslim students study there and about 800 Christian students. It is currently seeking accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Many key administrators at the university are evangelicals.
