Engaging Voices from the Edges of the Reformation
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Donald Kraybill,
Distinguished College Professor and Senior Fellow, Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies
Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA
Dear ETS Eastern Region Member:
Greetings! Before the memory of our annual meeting in New Orleans completely fades, it is time for us to turn our attention to our regional meeting on March 26, 2010, hosted by Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School in Lancaster, PA. We are pleased take this opportunity to introduce our topic and keynote speaker, and to invite you attend.
Dr. Kraybill, an internationally recognized scholar on Anabaptist groups, will specifically address Amish Spirituality and Forgiveness considering particularly their theological and hermeneutical approaches.
We invite you to contribute a paper related to the conference theme but we are, of course, open to a variety of proposals. Our conference seeks to engage various voices across the spectrum of the Reformation including both those in the academic and church contexts.
Your proposal should have a title, a one paragraph description of the intended paper, your present job title and how long you have been serving in this post. Please submit your proposal to me via email (mblackmon@lbc.edu). The deadline for proposals is February 12, 2010. We will let you know whether or not your proposal has been accepted by February 14, 2010.
We are also pleased to announce that we will again have a student paper competition. The details of the competition will be posted on the ETS website.
Hope to see you in March!
Blessings,
Matt Blackmon
